Major Update On Shawn Michaels’ Future Within WWE

Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement for ‘Crown Jewel’ will continue to be a debate long after the show is over. A lot of people believe it’s the beginning of a final run, but it could just be a one-off match. Obviously, money is the biggest reason for another match, but there could be more happening with HBK behind the scenes than we are aware of.

According to a report from Wrestling Observer Live, Shawn Michaels is expected to be a big part of WWE future as the company shifts away from Vince McMahon’s control and into the hands of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. HBK has been working at the WWE Performance Center for some time now, but it seems he could be running it someday.

Yes, money is the main reason for his in-ring return in Saudi Arabia. However, it’s also being seen as a huge favor to the company and Triple H. If Michaels’s role with WWE is expected to grow over the years, it seems that helping the company out during a show like this is a great way to gain favor, especially with the backlash against the company.

For the short-term, it’s unclear if Shawn Michaels will wrestle again after Crown Jewel, but it seems likely he could at WrestleMania 35. A lot of people believe that AJ Styles vs. The Heartbreak Kid could be something special. He could also work with Daniel Bryan or a top heel like Kevin Owens. The roster will be lining up to work with him if they can.

If working Crown Jewel is a way for HBK to climb the corporate ladder within WWE, it’s a “best for business” situation. Wrestling is what Shawn Michaels was born to do so the industry is a better place with him making an impact. Hopefully, that continues as long as possible.
