On Sunday night, the WWE Universe will see the first-ever all Women’s PPV. It’s going to be an incredibly important night. The WWE Universe is interested to see how the talent performs and how the show is received. If the event is successful, it could be the first of a line of PPV events. However, it seems WWE will have to do a better job promoting it.

According to a report from Wrestling Observer Live, a lot of the excitement and intrigue for the show is gone. Apparently, the event isn’t seen as “that” big of a deal within WWE at the corporate level and a lot of WWE Superstars are unhappy with how the company promoted the show. A lot of people are pointing the figure to blame ‘Crown Jewel.’

There are a couple different ways to think about this problem. On one hand, there just might not be enough interest in the women’s division for WWE to consider the event comparable to the revenue being brought in from Crown Jewel. Evolution was in some trouble selling out the event until Nikki Bella vs. Ronda Rousey was announced for it.

The other thing to consider is the card for Evolution isn’t jaw-dropping. There are some interesting matches on there, but there’s not one match that is must-see. WWE should have worked a lot harder to make the card more interesting. That still does not change the fact that WWE has promoted Crown Jewel far more than Evolution in recent weeks.

Nikki Bella and Charlotte Flair weigh in on Sunday's historic WWE Evolution

Hopefully, the women’s division can deliver an unforgettable evening to make the next all women’s event must-see. Sometimes the card doesn’t matter and the performers just put on a great show. Let’s hope that Sunday night is one of those times.

Do you feel Evolution should have received a bigger spotlight?
