Okay, I’ll admit it. Cesaro and Sheamus forming a tag team is an interesting idea. It’s creative, and I didn’t think they would go in that direction. However, a lot of people are wondering exactly how it will work.
It’s understandable why WWE officials would be hesitant to give Cesaro or Sheamus the edge because not forcing a winner could make both men gain momentum. The logic is sound, but the idea has a lot of issues.
First and foremost, Sheamus is a heel and Cesaro is a face. Mick Foley was right; tag teams can find magic and become something special out of nowhere. That doesn’t change the fact that many of them don’t.
Obviously, WWE is going for them to be faces, right? That will be a change of character for Sheamus, but The New Day are faces, so how does that fit into the entire feud between the two teams.
This is a clear setup for “Hell in a Cell,” but the question is what kind of chemistry Cesaro and Sheamus can build before the PPV. They go from fierce rivals to tag team partners to being the team to finally dethrone The New Day and become the Raw Tag Team Champions? That’s a lot to do in one month.
Do you think Cesaro and Sheamus forming a tag team is a good idea?
