Last night’s edition of Raw had two Cruiserweight matches on the card. On paper, that’s great. We had the current Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins vs. Tony Nese and a pretty good tag team match.

Unfortunately, the second week of Raw’s Cruiserweights getting the television time, the WWE Universe wasn’t chanting “This is Awesome” like they were last week. Instead, CM Punk chanted filled the arena.

Nese and TJP had a fun match. The tag team match was a little random, but WWE is just trying to give some of the roster exposure on Raw, and Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann are obviously getting big pushes.

The matches were fun, but the crowd in Cincinnati didn’t seem to dig what they were selling as much as I was expecting. It’s only week two, so it’s not time for the panic button. But, the WWE fans need to do more.

My point is that the cruiserweights are brand new. WWE officials don’t know what do with it yet or how to book the division. That’s okay, but the WWE Universe needs to tell them more than “this is boring.”
