Last night at “Clash of Champions,” Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Universal title after some help from Chris Jericho. However, Rollins have may suffered a worse defeat.

The match was grueling and there were a few spots that clearly did some damage to Rollins. It was reported earlier today that Seth Rollins may have suffered an injury during the match, but now we have an update.

Apparently, Rollins was struggling once he returned to the back and there was obviously something wrong with his rib cage, so he got an x-ray earlier today to see the damage.

According to a report from RingSideNews.com, the injury to Rollins is said to not be serious. The most likely injury he suffered are some badly bruised ribs, which will slow Rollins down but not put him on the shelf.

The odds are that WWE will take it easy on Rollins over the next few weeks heading into “Hell in a Cell,” but it shouldn’t take more than a few weeks to get him back to one hundred percent. He’ll remain on WWE TV in the meantime.
