For better or worse, Alberto Del Rio’s time in WWE has come to an end. It won’t be remembered as his best run, but there were some good matches to remember him by for the WWE Universe.

Alberto Del Rio has claimed that he only has a few years left of his wrestling career, but it’s also unlikely he’ll be a full-time performer wherever he goes to next.

According to a report from WrestlingInc.com, Alberto Del Rio has already made formal meetings with AAA, which is the same promotion he left for WWE last October.

CMLL is said to be in the running, but AAA is confident they’ll be able to get Del Rio’s services. As of this writing, the belief is Alberto is done with Lucha Underground and there is no chance for a return/

This weekend, Alberto Del Rio will be making appearances during World Association of Wrestling live events on Friday and Saturday in Norwich, England. The promotion is owned by Paige’s father.

There was no question that Alberto would be able to make a living outside WWE wrestling, but going back to AAA or CMLL could be the final deal of his career, so he’s going to want to make it count.

Do you think Alberto Del Rio should go back to AAA or CMLL?
