Just before Wrestlemania, Luke Harper went down with a torn ACL injury that forced him to miss the biggest show in wrestling history and roughly six months of his career.

His loss to The Wyatt Family was the first major hit to the stable that was eventually disbanded during the WWE Draft. Now, the question is where will Harper go when he returns to WWE programming.

According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, Luke Harper is closing in on his return at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando. He was there all last week getting the ring rust off him after sitting for so long.

This week, Harper is being evaluated and it is believed that he’ll be medically cleared to return to WWE television by the end of the week. The only question is if he’ll go to Raw or SmackDown.

On paper, SmackDown seems like the better idea. Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan are both on the brand already, so an original Wyatt Family reunion could happen or feuds within could begin for the Wyatts.

There is something strangely cool about the potential for Harper vs. Wyatt. It’s the ultimate story of teacher versus pupil and it could potentially be a career maker for Harper if he goes over his mentor.
