4. The Next Coming of Y2J

Y2J

In his absence, why not have the next coming of Y2J to fill the roster hole of Randy Orton and John Cena. Y2J has already been in this role for years. When Orton returns, he can slide into the role as Jericho goes back to working house shows where he has been doing great work.

For example, if WWE needs Roman Reigns to get over as a face, an established win over a veteran in a solid feud sounds like the perfect way to accomplish that goal. Reigns already had a feud with Orton, but he hasn’t with Chris Jericho. There is already tension between them after his reaction to losing at Night of Champions. It wouldn’t be a challenging stretch to turn Jericho heel and make Roman Reigns a star right before the Royal Rumble and Road to Wrestlemania.
