The epic career of The Undertaker is going to end someday. There have been matches and storylines in the last few years that have been considered a good time for The Undertaker to hang up his boots. The “End of an Era” after going 20-0 at Wrestlemania seemed like the perfect time, or even when Brock Lesnar conquered The Streak at Wrestlemania 30. There have been some opportunities for The Undertaker to call it a career.

This Sunday is the “Hell in a Cell” PPV. The main event will be the final encounter between The Beast and The Deadman. Depending on the match and on the circumstances, could this be the last match for Taker?

Of course, it’s possible. In most cases, an injury officially takes out a wrestler before they can make the decision themselves. It would be a shame to see the immortal Undertaker be another victim to the grind of the industry. If The Undertaker continues his run of good luck, someday he’s going to have to make the call himself. The great question is who will face The Undertaker in his final retirement match?

Here are seven candidates to face The Undertaker in his retirement match:

7. The Rock

The Rock is Rumored to Be a Headliner at WrestleMania 32
Wrestlemania 29 could have seen John Cena vs. CM Punk in the main event and the epic match-up of The Rock vs. The Undertaker. The Rock going after The Streak would have been an amazing match-up to see. The promos would have been incredible, and the match would have been one of the best in Wrestlemania history.

However, Wrestlemania 32 can still be written. The Rock vs. The Undertaker may not be able to have The Streak angle attached to the program, but that is still a big money match of two of the greatest WWE performers of all time.

For The Undertaker’s final match to be against The Rock would such a special way to call it a career for both men. Sure, The Rock doesn’t need the win or the rub. But, both men deserve to go out on top by making history. That’s what this match would be.
