WATCH: Paul Heyman Appearing For WWE Again

Welcome back. There have been a lot of stories this year but one of them that has flown under the radar, or at least not gotten a ton of attention, was Paul Heyman being fired as the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw. Heyman was a popular name to have in the job but WWE did not seem to think his results were strong enough. He has not been seen on television since, but things have changed again.

There are very few people in modern wrestling who have Heyman’s speaking abilities. He can say all kinds of things and make you believe them, which can be both fascinating and impressive. Heyman is an incredible talent and while his booking might not have been the most successful, he has the kind of skills that WWE will want to have on screen, and that is what he is doing again.

On Wednesday, WWE2K released a new video advertising their upcoming Battlegrounds game, featuring Heyman as the focal point of the commercial. Heyman is shown reading a book about the game and explaining the game play modes includes. The game’s campaign mode features Heyman pitching a new brand to Vince McMahon, starting the events of the game. Battlegrounds is scheduled to be released on September 18.

Opinion: This is a good move for WWE as Heyman has a particular skill set that cannot be taught. I can understand why his booking might not be the most well received, but Heyman is someone who can talk with the best of them and it makes sense to put him on camera and have him sell you something. Just the way he talks is going to get your attention and that is a very good thing.
