Watch John Oliver Rip WWE Over Crown Jewel Again

Here he comes again. We’re less than a week away from Crown Jewel, which of course will be held in Saudi Arabia. This has been a very hot button issue for WWE, which has taken a lot of flack for holding the show in the country which is currently receiving a lot of attention over the killing of a journalist. This is going to draw some attention to the company, and one rather popular show has taken notice.

Two weeks ago on Last Week Tonight, John Oliver ripped the WWE for running the show in Saudi Arabia under all the pressure. Oliver was back at it last night, this time featuring clips from WWE’s recent programming with the live fans not being pleased with the show. It also brought up rumors of John Cena not wanting to work the show due to the controversy. Here are some clips of Oliver’s comments:

Opinion: Just as I said last week, there was no way WWE could expect to avoid this kind of attention. The story was the biggest news in the world for most of last week and the show is coming up in less than four days. The backlash is going to be pretty strong against them and there isn’t much of a way around it. Hopefully things don’t go too badly for WWE, but they’re far from innocent victims here.
