Tonight, history was made in the world of professional wrestling, as WWE presented its first ever all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution. The event was a great success, with some outstanding action throughout the entire night.

One of the marquee matches of the event was the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament that began over 8 weeks ago. But who was the winner?

In a remarkable contest, Toni Storm defeated Io Shirai to cap off an incredible run in the tournament. You can see a clip of the match below:

Storm is currently signed to the the NXT UK Division, while Shirai is currently signed to NXT in the United States.

Editor’s Opinion:

I honestly that that the Genius of the Sky, Io Shirai, was going to pick up the win. However, Storm delivered an excellent performance tonight and deserved to be the winner. Both of these women have a very bright future in WWE and I believe that we will be seeing them both for a long time to come. Congratulations to them and all of the competitors in the 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament; it was one for the ages!
