Before WWE Evolution, it was reported that Alexa Bliss was dealing with a concussion that could have kept her on the sidelines for the show. She’s been dealing with another arm injury, but she was medically cleared last weekend. Before the PPV, the former Raw Women’s Champion underwent some tests to ensure Alexa could wrestling at the event.

Unfortunately, WWE doctors were forced to pull her from the show. Alicia Fox replaced Bliss as Mickie James’ partner against Lita and Trish Stratus. The match should result in a win for the two WWE Hall of Famers, but there’s a rumor going around that Alexa has some backstage heat with WWE officials for suffering an injury when they needed her.
According to a report from PWInsider, there is no truth to that rumor at all. If anything, WWE officials are concerned about Little Miss Bliss because she’s one of the top heels in the entire company. Of course, the powers that be would prefer to see Alexa perform at Evolution, but the tests force their hand. They seem to be genuinely concerned for her.
Alexa Bliss will still likely be at ringside for the match, but the problem is the timetable for her in-ring return. A concussion is taken very seriously by WWE doctors. There’s no question she’ll be back in the ring soon, but she could miss several weeks of action. The severity should become clear after Evolution because that’s WWE’s immediate concern.
It seems silly to think that WWE officials would be upset with Alexa for being injured. It is a shame she can’t perform at Evolution, but the only explanation for backstage heat like that would be if Biss was an unsafe worker. There haven’t been any reports on that.
