I remember that! Vince McMahon is still the ultimate power in WWE. No matter what happens in the company, it is going to be because McMahon approves it. That can become a bit of a problem as McMahon tends to have a short attention span, meaning that someone’s push may start and stop in a hurry. That seems to be the case with two talented performers.
Monday Night Raw’s women’s division have been up and down over the last few months. Becky Lynch and Charlotte have both taken extended time off, leaving the division in need of some fresh stars. That should be an easy thing to do as the women’s division has started to pick up some steam, but apparently the idea of a push is easier said than done when McMahon is involved.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon had decided to push both Bianca Belair and Peyton Royce but seems to have dropped both ideas. Belair was called up to Monday Night Raw the night after WrestleMania but then stopped appearing for several weeks. Her most recent match on Monday Night Raw came on August 24. As for Royce, she had been planned to receive a push after the IIconics split but did not appear on this week’s Monday Night Raw.
The two of them are big prospects. Check out the women in action:
Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised at this as McMahon does have a tendency to start and stop pushes. Royce might be jumping the gun a bit as she only missed one week, but at the same time, why in the world would you split the IIconics up if your next move is to leave her on the sidelines? Belair is an athletic marvel and I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want to present someone that unique.
What do you think of the lack of pushes? Which of the two will bounce back faster? Let us know in the comments below.
