He’s getting ready. An injury can be one of the worst things to happen to a wrestler as it can completely derail anything they have going on at the moment. It can change or even kill a wrestler’s push and that is horrible to see. Of course the thing that matters most is someone being healthy, and now we are getting closer to an injured WWE star being back to full health.

There are very few WWE Champions in history as controversial as Jinder Mahal. After starting off his career as a relatively generic heel, Mahal would go on to become part of the comedy stable 3MB, which was better remembered but not exactly the most successful. After being released though, Mahal returned and won the WWE Championship in 2017. Mahal was not the most popular champion, but various injuries put him on the shelf. Now that might not be the case much longer.

This is encouraging. Check out Mahal’s update on his health status:

Mahal has posted a new video to his Instagram page showing his workout, which includes him working on his shoulders. This comes about six months after Mahal’s knee surgery, which was originally planned to only leave him on the shelf for a short amount of time. Mahal is still expected to return for the launch of NXT India in January 2021. The caption on the video says “It’s Thursday. You know what that means…shoulder day.”, which is a reference to one of the recently passed away Brodie Lee’s signature catchphrases.

Opinion: I know Mahal might not be the most popular star ever but at the same time it is good to see any wrestler getting back in the ring after a layoff. Mahal is someone who could still offer a lot to the company and if they are serious about spreading into India, he could be quite the asset. Hopefully Mahal gets to come back to the ring sooner than expected because he could still help a lot.
