Hey it’s….them. Returns are a staple in wrestling. You never know who might be showing up from one week to the next, as a lot of wrestlers have performed in various companies over the years. There’s little more entertaining than seeing someone pop up in a place you’re not expecting them to and if they have a good performance, things are even better. That’s where WWE is going today.
What the heck are you doing here?
WWE has posted a new video looking at Five Random Superstar Returns. These returns are all somewhat surprises but for the most part are more low key than others. The majority are names who were stars in the company in days past but came back for one reason or another. Several of them hadn’t been seen in WWE for a good many years and stuck around for a pretty long time after their surprise return.
Opinion: These might not have been the biggest deals, but there’s a reason that you get the annual Royal Rumble surprise nostalgia appearance (notice where a lot of these returns came from). They work very well as you get the flashback feeling, no matter how big or small of a deal the wrestler was in the first place. It’s a formula that has worked forever and that’s going to be the case every time.
Which of these returns did you like best? What did WWE leave off the list? Let us know in the comments below.
