Well so much for that. Stories come in and out all over the place in wrestling and it’s hard to say what’s actually true or false. There’s always the chance that something is already slated to happen and then things change in a heartbeat. Then there are times where the story was never accurate in the first place. One of those things may have happened now and it sounds like a good story is off the table.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is no truth to the rumor that Kevin Owens will be the next Paul Heyman Guy. At the moment Heyman doesn’t have a client and Owens “quit” WWE earlier this week on Monday Night Raw. WWE has even played up the idea that Owens is done by moving him over to their Alumni Section on WWE.com. There is no word on when Owens will be back on TV.

Doesn’t he look like he needs someone?

Kevin Owens quits WWE: Raw, Aug. 27, 2018

Opinion: I hope the rumor killer is wrong as is could have been a lot of fun if they were allowed to work together. CM Punk has already proven that Heyman can work with someone who doesn’t need him to talk for him but it would have been great to see these two working together. Owens validating himself is always one of the best things to see but you could imagine this being a huge push for him.

Do you want to see Owens and Heyman working together? Who else would be a good Paul Heyman Guy/Girl? Let us know in the comments below.
