So much for that. There are a lot of common criticisms about modern WWE and a lot of them are rather valid issues. One of the top issues that you hear is the company’s inability to follow through on a story that they begin. Stories, angles and pushes have a tendency to start and stop at the blink of an eye. That seems to be the case again with a prominent Monday Night Raw star.

Over the last few months, Seth Rollins has become one of the biggest heels on Monday Night Raw. While his win/loss record has not been the most successful, there is no doubt that Rollins has made an impact on the show. He has mainly feuded with Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik, but Rollins has also dealt with Kevin Owens. However, Owens’ time in and out of the ring has started and stopped, which could be a bit of a problem for Owens.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Owens’ feud with Rollins has been dropped now that Rey Mysterio has agreed to stay with WWE. This is why Owens did not run in to help Dominik Mysterio when Rollins and Murphy were attacking him with kendo sticks on this week’s Monday Night Raw, even though he was booked on the show later that night. As a result, Owens has no story at the moment and is currently not booked in a match at Summerslam.

What could have been. Check out some of Owens vs. Rollins:

Opinion: This is a good example of the WWE wrestlers having no internal logic. Owens has been dealing with Rollins and Murphy on and off for months but he was not interested in chasing them off to save Dominik? That does not fit with what Owens has been doing as of late, even if he was busy later that night. I’m not overly worried about Owens’ future as he had a good match against Randy Orton in the main event, but some extra logic would have been nice.

What is next for Owens? Should he have saved Dominik? Let us know in the comments below.
