Two More Title Matches Announced for "Payback 2017"

The card is filling up fast. We’re less than two weeks away from “Payback 2017” and coming into tonight there were no matches announced for the pay per view. Around the halfway point of the show though, we had two matches with Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton for the Smackdown World Title and Nevile defending the Cruiserweight Title against Austin Aries. By the end though, that total had doubled.

In the last hour of “Monday Night Raw”, two more title matches were announced for the pay per view. First up was the Hardys defending the Raw Tag Team Titles against Cesaro and Sheamus, who had earned the title shot the previous week by defeating Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Other than that we had the announcement of Chris Jericho getting his rematch for the US Title against Kevin Owens, who took the title from him at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”.

Opinion: These are the simple kind of matches that can help fill up a card which is fallout from Wrestlemania almost by definition. Both matches should be fun, especially if Cesaro and Sheamus are the power brawlers they’re capable of being. The US Title match is going to need a violent gimmick to go with it but I’m sure they’ll figure something out.
