Pairing off. There are a lot of people on the AEW roster and that can cause some issues. At the end of the day, there are only so many places available for all of these people to go and with limited television time, you can’t fit everyone onto the show every week. One of the best ways to handle this is to bundle people together into one big group, which is what seems to be the case in two different instances this week.
One of the areas where AEW has shined is in the tag team division. They have a lot of talented wrestlers included and that can make for some big moments and exciting matches. At the same time though, some of them don’t have the strongest direction and need a little guidance to make things work better. We may have seen that solved during this week’s edition of Dynamite.
During this week’s AEW Dynamite, two new alliances were formed. First, FTR debuted Tully Blanchard as their manager during their win over Private Party. Blanchard also manages Shawn Spears but there was no indication that Spears and FTR are joining forces. Later, the Butcher and Blade and the Lucha Bros lost an eight man tag team match. They argued after, but Eddie Kingston came to the ring and said they should work together, followed by all five hugging.
This was some interesting stuff. Check out how both things went down:
Opinion: I could go for this, especially Blanchard as FTR’s manager. That is a rather good fit for both sides and hopefully everything works out well, as FTR needs a little better direction. On top of that you have the Kingston story, and anything that gives Kingston more television time works well for me. He’s one of the best promos in the company and if he gets to talk every week, that’s a positive thing.
