What could have been. There are a lot of ways to present almost every wrestler on the current WWE roster and that makes for some interesting combinations. With so many talented wrestlers out there, you never know what you might see. Sometimes WWE could have a good idea on its hands but have it fall through for one reason or another. That was the case earlier this year on SmackDown.

The United States is in a strange place at the moment as several people and things are on edge and feel ready to blow at almost any time. A lot of these problems blew up earlier this year with the killing of George Floyd, sending the United States into a series of riots over complaints against the police department. One wrestler in particular did not seem to agree and his statements cost some other wrestlers a pretty big push.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the Forgotten Sons were in line to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles from the New Day before Jaxson Ryker’s comments about Donald Trump received backlash. As a result, the team was pulled off of television and the push went to Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura, who won the titles at Extreme Rules. The Forgotten Sons have not wrestled since Money in the Bank on May 10.

Opinion: I wasn’t a fan of the team but I feel sorry for Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake, who said nothing wrong and are only guilty of having a partner who said something. Their careers were ready to get a big boost and now they haven’t been seen in three months because of something beyond their control. It is a sad situation and I really hope the two of them get a chance because they didn’t do anything wrong.
