Well his opinion would mean quite a bit. To say that Pete Dunne has been a success in WWE would be an understatement. Last year, when he was only twenty three years old, Dunne faced off with Tyler Bate in an instant classic at Takeover: Chicago. Dunne won the match to become the United Kingdom Champion and holds the title to this day, though the title win is nowhere near the most impressive part of his run with the company. Dunne has had one classic after another and it seems that someone is taking notice.

In the media call for this Saturday’s Takeover: Chicago II, WWE COO Triple H was asked about Dunne. According to Cagesideseats.com, Triple H praised Dunne’s abilities and said that he saw Dunne as a future WWE World Champion. At the moment, Dunne has yet to make any long term main roster appearances and has mostly appeared either on NXT or on some specials from the United Kingdom.

Dunne was in action this week and, again, it was awesome. Check out his handiwork.

Pete Dunne vs. Kyle O'Reilly - WWE U.K. Title Match: WWE NXT, June 13, 2018

Opinion: The fact that Dunne is still in his early 20s never ceases to astound me. He wrestles like someone who has been doing this for fifteen years but fifteen years ago he probably wouldn’t have been allowed to be at a show without his parents. It’s nothing short of amazing to see him work and the scary part is he just doesn’t seem to know how to do anything but put on awesome performances. I’d love to see what he could do on the main roster, or at least what he could do to bring those people up closer to his level.
