The Time Spike Dudley Asked Vince McMahon For Marijuana

Not something you ask your boss. Vince McMahon is one of the most unique human beings to ever live and there will never, ever, be another one like him. He is the kind of person whose reactions to things might surprise you, as he certainly has a certain way of looking at things. There are some things that are going to set him off but others that are going to be fine with him. One of them may surprise you.

Over the years, there have been a lot of wrestlers to come and go from WWE and some of them are a lot more famous than others. Just because they weren’t all that well known during their time in WWE does not mean they didn’t see some interesting things during their time around there though. One of the less famous names in WWE history has a heck of a story to tell.

Former WWE star Spike Dudley was interviewed by Chris Van Vliet and told a story about riding with Shane McMahon, Bubba Ray Dudley and Tommy Dreamer. During the ride, Spike was woken up when Shane handed him a phone during a call with Vince. Spike woke up and said they were “smoking kind bug” and asking what Vince could give them. Spike said that Vince laughed it off and did not take it seriously, nor did it lead to his release from the company two years later.

Opinion: This is one of those stories that is probably only going to happen in wrestling and Vince is one of the few people who makes it that much better. It’s just a silly moment that happened on the road late at night and it isn’t like it meant anything, but it was good for a chuckle, which was entirely the point. Spike might not have been for everyone, but he stuck around for a long time and had a rather nice career all things considered.
