Mark your calendars. We’re on the verge of some of the biggest shifts in the wrestling world over the last several years. In less than eight weeks, both WWE and AEW will be receiving some huge exposure on major networks. AEW’s move is more impressive given that they’ve only been running shows for a few months now. With so little history, they have a lot to do and they’ll be starting in a hurry.
According to 411mania.com, the Young Bucks defeated Private Party at a House of Glory event on Friday night. After the match was over, the Bucks announced that the two teams would be having a rematch in the AEW Tag Team Title tournament on the second episode of AEW television, which takes place on October 11. There is no word on if this will be the first tournament match, or any other details on the tournament.
Here’s your invitation. Check out Private Party’s AEW debut (these guys are pretty awesome):
Opinion: That’s the kind of detail that should be announced in advance. Private Party made a nice impression at Fyter Fest and the Bucks are some of the biggest stars in the promotion. Putting the four of them in the ring together is a good way to draw in an audience and not wasting time in setting up the titles makes sense too. As a bonus, the match should be rather good.
Who do you think will be the first champions? What else do you think should be on the early shows? Let us know in the comments below.
