RUMOR: They Both Need It. NXT Star Coming Up To Main Roster And Getting Early Title Feud.

She needs the competition. Back in April, Becky Lynch won both the Raw Women’s Title and the SmackDown Women’s Title in the biggest women’s match of all time. Four months later and Lynch is still one of the top stars in the company but she is running out of competition. After a feud with Lacey Evans she has moved on to facing Natalya, but what could be after that?

According to Tom Colohue of PW Torch, current NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler will be coming up to the main roster soon, setting up a feud with Lynch. Baszler has held the title since October 28, 2018 and has held the title for over a year combined. She has been rumored to come up to the main roster several times before and will be defending the title against Mia Yim at Saturday’s Takeover: Toronto.

Opinion: I’d be down for Baszler vs. Lynch as Baszler has been long overdue to come up to the main roster. She has all but cleaned out the NXT women’s division and needs some new competition. The same is true of Lynch, who has very few viable options to challenge for the title. If nothing else it could be a way to set up the return of Ronda Rousey, as Baszler could be a nice warmup for Lynch.
