So much for that. While wrestling can be a very lucrative business, there are some performers who are not capable of making a living based just on their wrestling performances. That means they need other jobs, some of which could be considered more important than others. In this case, a wrestler with a rather important job isn’t getting back in the ring despite being advertised to do so.

According to WBIR (NBC affiliate in Knoxville, Tennessee), Kane will not be performing for WWE later this month, despite being advertised for two house shows in Louisiana. Kane, the current mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, was advertised for house shows on August 23 and 24 but according to the county communications director, he is not scheduled for any matches at any time. However, as of Friday night, he is still listed on the event pages of both shows on WWE.com.

Opinion: That clears a few things up, as I was a bit surprised that Kane was going to be working two random house shows while having a rather time consuming job. It didn’t seem like to be the case, but now I would be rather surprised if he actually did wrestle on the shows. If nothing else, it likely wouldn’t look great to his constituents as he has a lot of work to do otherwise. I’ve always been a Kane fan, but he has other stuff to do at the moment.
