Two in a row isn’t a good sign. Backlash has done a lot of damage to WWE at the moment with the ratings and audience for Monday Night Raw both taking big hits this week. That’s not a good sign with the summer right around the corner, which tends to see even lower numbers for WWE than usual. Even though Monday wasn’t the best result, maybe Tuesday could be a little bit better. Just how did the SmackDown Live ratings and audience hold up?

Opinion: Really, I can’t say I’m surprised. This Sunday’s Backlash was a horrible night with almost no good matches and little to look forward to. Couple that with Money in the Bank qualifying matches dominating the next few weeks (there are currently ten to go between both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live) and after that, we’re stuck with a bunch of matches building up drama for the ladder match. Why would fans stick around when there’s no momentum coming in and not much to look forward to over the next five weeks.
