Monday Night Raw Ratings And Audience – May 7, 2018

Well, that’s not good. This Sunday’s Backlash pay per view wasn’t the best in the world with a night of not great matches and a main event that wasn’t exactly inspiring. Since this is WWE though, the show must go on and that’s exactly what happened the next night on Monday Night Raw. Things now shift towards the June and Money in the Bank, but the question is how interested were people in what happened after Backlash and all of its fallout.

Top 10 Raw moments: WWE Top 10, May 7, 2018

According to 411mania, this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw drew a .9 rating in the 18-49 demographic rating and 2.689 million viewers. These numbers are down 17% and 12% from last week’s 1.08 demographic rating and 3.066 million viewers. Both numbers are the lowest non-holiday results since the December 11, 2017 show drew a .84 demographic rating and 2.685 million viewers. This week’s show was headlined by Finn Balor vs. Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match.

Opinion: There’s not much that you can do when the show is doing this badly. The fans are clearly not very interested in the Backlash fallout or the start of the Money in the Bank season. Really, can you blame them? How much of the story is going to be about setting up individual matches that aren’t going to mean anything because we’re coming up on a ladder match? Throw in the lack of a Universal Title match anytime soon and Roman Reigns still as the top star and it’s not exactly surprising at the moment.
