WWE Holds Dark Match During Monday Night Raw

Your interview entertainment. If you’ve never been to a WWE television taping, you might not realize just how much you miss by not being in the arena live. Before the show goes on the air you’ll see some a either being taped for Main Event or a dark match just for the live crowd. At the end of the night you might see a dark match after everything is done. But what about seeing a dark match during the show itself? It sounds odd, but it happens every now and then, like tonight for example.

You might remember these guys.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, there was a dark match during this week’s Monday Night Raw. While the Bobby Lashley interview aired during the show, the Authors of Pain defeated two local enhancement talents in the arena. This was not referenced or shown on the Monday Night Raw broadcast. While holding dark matches during a show is rare, it has happened earlier this year, including at the Monday Night Raw 25th Anniversary show back in January.

Here’s everything that did make air this week.

Opinion: What exactly does this say for Lashley? His interview is so uninteresting that the company felt the need to throw a squash match out there while he was talking about his family? I mean, the interview wasn’t that interesting but I didn’t need entertainment while it was going on. The Authors of Pain squashing people can be entertaining though and while it might have been a better option to show instead of the interview, I’m not sure it’s a good sign for Lashley’s future.
