Take this one with a grain of salt, as always. While Kevin Owens is seemingly not done feuding with Seth Rollins, WWE might already have his next feud planned out. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the next man in line to challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Title is current United States Champion Roman Reigns. This would likely lead to a title match between the two at “Roadblock 2016” on December 18.
There might be some merit to this as Reigns faced Owens’ best friend Chris Jericho earlier this week on “Monday Night Raw”. After the match, Rollins and Reigns stood together to clear out Owens and Jericho. It wouldn’t be a stretch to spin this off into Reigns vs. Owens for the Universal Title in short order.
I’d be fine with this as it means we get more of Jericho and Owens as the best friends who ever lived. Reigns can be a short term challenger before moving on to a big feud over the US Title. As long as this doesn’t wind up with another double champion I don’t see any major issues. Reigns and Owens have had good chemistry before and the matches should be solid.
Would you want to see this feud? If not Reigns, who else would you like to see challenge Owens for the title? Let us know in the comments below.
