Whodunit? Mystery can be one of the best forms of entertainment in any media. There is something so entertaining about trying to find out who is behind something and if the story can fool you for a little while, things are even better. The same thing is true in wrestling, as promotions try to set things up to fool its fans from time to time. That may be the case with a current top storyline.
On the May 29 SmackDown, Jeff Hardy was accused of injuring Elias in a drunken car crash. Hardy was later cleared of the charges and accused Sheamus of being behind the situation. The driver of the car was said to have red hair and a red beard, but no one has officially been named. Hardy is moving forward in his feud with Sheamus, but there might be a big twist coming.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, the driver of the car may be revealed as the driver of the car as he fits the description of having red hair and a red beard. Zayn has been absent from WWE TV since WrestleMania 36 as he has been unwilling to come to the events due to concerns over the Coronavirus pandemic. Zayn has complained about the Intercontinental Title tournament on Twitter and Hardy and Elias had both advanced to the second round when the attack took place.
It’s a pretty detailed story. Check out everyone involved/possibly involved:
Opinion: This is something that could make sense and it would be nice to have Zayn return. He has a lot of different places to go at the moment, though there is always the chance of someone else being involved. Having this many options is a good thing for a story, though I’m still not sold on Hardy being in such a storyline in the first place. Hopefully they move on soon, albeit with something else for Hardy to do.
