You might not want to annoy them. The big story coming out of WWE this week was the firing of Paul Heyman as the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw. That is quite the change of pace for the show and might not offer the brightest future for the show. Heyman might not have been having the greatest success, but he was in charge of the show and had a vision. Now that vision is gone, but what is one of the most important players thinking about the situation?

While the big change might seem to be something that is self contained to WWE, there are a few more actors than just the company. One of the biggest of them all is the USA Network, who broadcasts Monday Night Raw every Monday night. It is no secret that the television ratings and audience have not been the strongest as of late, but what does USA think about the situation?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the USA Network is “very unhappy” with the change in direction on Monday Night Raw. The network understood why the ratings were down, but was willing to allow it because Monday Night Raw had a direction. Now things have been completely reset and it is not clear which direction the numbers are going to take.

Things had been building fairly well as of late. Check out where the show was going:

Opinion: Can you blame the network for not being pleased? This is a sudden change of pace in the middle of one of the most confusing situations WWE has ever had. There is only so much that can be done by anyone involved and it isn’t likely to change anytime soon. I’m not sure what the change is going to do, but it is likely to set things back a little bit. That isn’t going to go well, and I’m curious to see how much USA is willing to accept.

What do you think of the change? How low can the numbers go before USA makes a change? Let us know in the comments below.
