Report: Austin Aries Could Be In Line For a WrestleMania Title Match

The greatest match that ever lived? Austin Aries is an interesting case as he debuted in NXT last year but never quite took off. He was entering into a feud with Hideo Itami but the whole thing was called off due to injuries. It turned out that Aries’ was so bad that he’s been out since October with a broken orbital bone. That might be about to change.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, Aries has been cleared to return to the ring. Aries is also being considered to challenge Neville for the Cruiserweight Title at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”. In his absence from the ring, Aries has constantly talked about how he could win the title as soon as he was able to get back in the ring.

I’ve been hoping to see this match for a long time now as Aries has been one of the better in ring performers in the business for a good while. He might not be the biggest guy in the world but he’s able to go out there and wrestle like he’s a bigger star than almost anyone else in front of him. These two could have a great match but more importantly it would feel like a huge showdown.
