I guess not everyone is a fan. As we come to a close on 2019, the biggest story in wrestling at the moment is built around a love triangle, which may have turned into a square on Monday night. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw finished with Liv Morgan making her return to WWE TV and announcing that she and Lana had been in a romantic relationship over the course of the year. It got people talking, but not in completely positive ways.
There was no way around the angle being controversial. It came at the end of a major segment, which had been advertised for over a week as the biggest part of one of the most important television shows of the year. The subject matter was going to be controversial as it always has been in WWE, but it was going to be interesting to see how some wrestlers reacted to the story.
Before we get into the fallout, here’s what we’re talking about. Check out what got people talking:
Since the Morgan angle took place on Monday Night Raw, a variety of wrestlers have responded to the story via Twitter. This includes some positive and some negative reactions, with some coming from inside and outside of WWE. Some of the more notable responses came from Sonya Deville, the only openly lesbian wrestler in WWE, and Joey Ryan, who has done a variety of controversial things in his career.
Welp… my mind is blown.

Opinion: That’s the kind of reaction you had to expect. The subject is rather controversial and it would not surprise me to see WWE drop it in a hurry. That was the case earlier this year with Sasha Banks and Bayley in a similar story, though maybe things have changed. Maybe this one will get to go somewhere else, though you never can tell in WWE, as things can come and go in a hurry.
