I guess you can say he’s multi-talented. There are a lot of people in the WWE world and that means several of them are going to be fighting for the same limited amount of television spots. Not everyone is going to be able to get in the ring or even on camera, but that can change if someone gets to show off what they can do outside the ring. Someone is certainly taking aim at just that.

Earlier this year, NXT star Eric Bugenhagen burst onto the scene by playing one heck of an air guitar at Full Sail University. A video of his playing was released on WWE’s YouTube page and was well received, as he was even brought back out for an encore. Bugenhagen was not featured on NXT television very often though, eventually being dropped and renamed as Rik Bugez. It turns out that the Bugez is back again though.

Earlier this week, Bugez posted a video to Twitter showing him playing a real guitar while lifting weights at the same time. The video starts with Bugez just playing the guitar while standing underneath some exercise equipment before performing a lift at the same time. Bugez has not wrestled a match since October 18 on a house show in Florida after only appearing twice on NXT TV.

This is quite the trick. Check out what Bugez can do:

Opinion: This is one of those situations where I can’t quite get WWE’s mentality. They had something with the gimmick but for some reason they just dropped him all of a sudden. Maybe they saw it as a one note idea or didn’t think Bugez could back it up in the ring, but either way you would expect them to milk it a little bit longer. If nothing else, the video is entertaining, as is most of what Bugez does on camera.

What did you think of Bugez? Could he ever make it on NXT TV? Let us know in the comments below.
