They’re off to a big start. If there is one thing that WWE fans have been complaining about as of late, it has been the television shows being rather stale. There does seem to be some weight behind that idea, as both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live have been boring as of late. This week’s Monday Night Raw opened with a big angle and the fallout has already started.
This week’s Monday Night Raw began with a Falls Count Anywhere match between Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley, ending in a no contest when the two of them went crashing through the set. The crash set off a series of explosions which left the set damaged for the rest of the night. WWE.com has offered a medical update on the pair, saying that Lashley is resting comfortably while Strowman may have suffered a ruptured spleen. These injuries are most likely kayfabe.
What else could this be? Check out the exploding crash:
Opinion: This was a heck of a way to get the show going and that is what the company has been needing as of late. Above all else, it felt different and exciting, which you do not get enough of around Monday Night Raw these days. Of course you can only do something like this ever so often but at least the one time they did it, they made it look as good as they could have.
