It’s a different NXT world. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot of things throughout the wrestling world and it is hard to imagine things being back to normal anytime soon. WWE is trying to do what it can to fix things up a bit, but there are only so many things that can be done. Some of these changes have gone well, but there are a few that are rubbing the wrestlers the wrong way.
One of the biggest aspects of the Coronavirus pandemic has been working to keep things as safe as possible. This includes wearing protective masks and social distancing, but some people have not been taking it as seriously as others. This can cause a problem for people gathered together in large groups, and another is getting together again. However, this one does not seem thrilled.
According to Fightful Select, several NXT trainees are unhappy with the fact that they are being brought back to the Performance Center for training five days a week. The students will be training five days a week but are only tested for the virus once a week. Over the last several months, students have been undergoing virtual training rather than in-person. The change also comes as WWE is dealing with another Coronavirus outbreak.
Opinion: I certainly can’t say I blame the students for being upset by something like this, as it seems that WWE is making this change at one of the worst possible times. There is almost no way to completely avoid the Coronavirus in such a situation but at the same time, WWE seems to be going out of their way to make things harder. Hopefully this does not wind up going badly, but that seems to be nearly inevitable.
