It might be time to give that one up. There are a lot of wrestlers in WWE and given the amount of spots that the wrestlers have to work, it is possible for a lot of them to get some time in the ring. That being said, there is never going to be enough time for everyone and that means there are going to be wrestlers who do not get the push some fans want them to receive. This has been a problem for wrestling fans for years now and it always will be, though it isn’t going to stop those same fans from being annoyed when something like this takes place.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE still has no plans to push Cesaro, despite the audience’s support of him. Vince McMahon does not see Cesaro as a major star for the company, even if Cesaro enjoys a certain level of popularity. The situation is said to be similar to that of Dolph Ziggler, who has seemed ready to be pushed hard several times, only to have the decision stopped for various reasons. WWE seems to have just gotten tired of considering pushing Cesaro and is not likely to try again in the near future.
Cesaro has been performing on the main WWE roster since 2012 and has held a variety of titles in his career, including the United States Title and six Tag Team Titles. He has primarily been known as a tag team wrestler though, including partnerships with Kane, Jack Swagger and Sheamus among others. Over the years Cesaro has seemed primed for a major push multiple times, including winning the inaugural Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30, but his singles run never completely took off.
Cesaro has had an awesome run. Check out some of his better moments in WWE:
Opinion: This is one of those situations where I don’t like it but I’ve learned to live with it. I’m not as high on Cesaro as some are (and I can completely get the appreciation for him) but it really is a case where McMahon doesn’t see the star power in him and there isn’t a way around that. I’d love to see him get a big chance someday but that doesn’t seem like it is ever going to be the case. Cesaro is one of those people who is going to put on a good performance against anyone and stay over, which seems to have been his undoing. How being that good at your job is a bad thing is beyond me, but it seems to be the case with him.
What do you think of Cesaro? Will he ever get a big push? Let us know in the comments below.
