Take this with a side of barbecue sauce. As you probably know, John Cena isn’t around much anymore. Due to his TV/movie schedule and a long list of injuries, Cena has been limited to ten TV/pay per view matches this year. It’s clear that his time with WWE is growing limited, but one legend thinks he’s done as a full time wrestler. According to Jim Ross’ new blog at JRsBarBQ.com, Cena isn’t likely to wrestle a full time again. Here are Ross’ thoughts:

“It seems that John Cena is traveling much the same road that Dwayne Johnson has taken in his post WWE life which I applaud. Just like @TheRock, @JohnCena is and always will be a WWE guy who may never wrestle a full time schedule again, likely not IMO, but will always be loyal to the company that helped launch his amazing career.”

Is this really that much of a stretch? Cena hasn’t been a full time guy in a long time and hasn’t held a World Title in over two years (with that reign pretty clearly as a replacement for Daniel Bryan). He’ll be forty in April and there’s nothing wrong with moving on to a mainstream career. Cena has been around the main event scene since 2005, or longer than Steve Austin or the Rock. Everyone is going to leave at some point and it looks like Cena’s time is almost up.

Do you think Cena will be back full time? Are you interested in his mainstream career? Let us know in the comments below.
