Paige and Del Rio Talk About Trump and McMahons In the White House

Another day, another big bit of drama involving Paige and Alberto Del Rio. I’m starting to think this is all part of an elaborate storyline because really, who could hate having a job this much?

The image that headlines this article is Del Rio’s “real opinion” of Donald Trump, captured in an interview with gossip mag TMZ below. Alberto deftly dodged speaking on the appointment of Linda McMahon to Trump’s cabinet, but had no qualms talking about the President-elect himself.

He also suggested Paige leave as they discussed the McMahon family, but their comments were actually pretty positive. Paige said she would love Vince McMahon as president, and Del Rio agreed–at least in comparison to Trump. “I think he would do a good job,” Alberto said, “because at least he’s smart.”

Paige’s WWE suspension is almost up, but she’s still recovering from a surgery that will significantly delay her return. Some reports suggest that WWE is keeping her contract because they don’t want it to appear that they’re dropping the superstar while she’s injured.

Del Rio and Paige began dating–and got engaged–while the former WWE superstar was still married, and the whole situation has been a whirlwind of odd decisions and ugly accusations. You’d think WWE would want to keep the thing as quiet as possible, but they’re proudly advertising the drama as part of Total Divas.
