That’s the next illogical step. Every now and then you find a character who completely changes the way something works in wrestling. Whatever they do turns wrestling on its head and that is a good thing at lot of the time. WWE certainly has one on their hands at the moment and now we know what is next for him, which sounds quite a bit more wacky than usual.
Since returning last spring, Bray Wyatt has become one of the most interesting characters in all of wrestling. Now the leader of the Firefly Fun House, Wyatt is one of the most unique characters in wrestling today, partially due to his split personality the Fiend. The alter ego allows Wyatt to channel his anger and evil into a completely different side of himself, and some of that might be on display at the Royal Rumble.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wyatt and Randy Orton will meet in a Firefly Fun House match at the Royal Rumble. The cinematic style match has only been used once before with Wyatt facing John Cena earlier this year at WrestleMania 36. The match will be a rematch after Orton defeated Wyatt at Tables, Ladders And Chairs by lighting him on fire.
Opinion: I’m curious to see how this is going to go, as the original Firefly Fun House match was one of the most unique things I’ve seen in a very long time. That being said, I’m not sure how something like this would go with Orton, who does not have quite the same character as Cena. It could go rather well though, as Wyatt certainly has the creativity and general wackiness to pull it off.
