Let’s try this again. There are a lot of wrestlers in WWE and with so much time that they need to set up some stories and feuds for a way to keep the wrestlers doing something. That can make for some interesting instances but oftentimes there are stories that do not work out so well. Sometimes fans can be left wondering why a story is continuing and that might be the case here again.

One of the bigger stories on SmackDown over the last few weeks has been that of Sheamus vs. Jeff Hardy. The gist of the story is that Sheamus does not like the amount of attention that Hardy has been receiving upon his return from a knee injury, plus various substance abuse issues. Sheamus defeated Hardy in a singles match at Backlash, and now we have an idea of how things are going to go.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hardy vs. Sheamus will be continuing for some time to come. The story has been given substantial time on WWE television and will likely be receiving another match on pay per view as a result. There is no word on how long the feud will last. Sheamus and Hardy are scheduled to have a segment on this week’s SmackDown with Sheamus toasting Hardy.

The two have a history so far. Check out how things have gone:

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised that the feud is continuing, but it might not have the strongest legs to pull something like this off for more than one more match. Hardy losing at Backlash was a little confusing, but he wasn’t cheated in the loss so why should we be continuing the feud? Sheamus has no reason to continue, so I’m not sure how something like this is going to go.
