We’re past the halfway point. The “2018 Royal Rumble” is this Sunday and as we came into this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live”, more than half of the men’s Royal Rumble was left unannounced. There are a bunch of spots left in the match and barring a ton of names being announced in advance, several names aren’t going to be announced. However, four more of them were announced tonight.
As announced on “Smackdown Live”, Tye Dillinger and all three members of the New Day were confirmed to be entered into the Royal Rumble. All four were in the match last year with Dillinger making his main roster debut in the match. These entrants get us to seventeen total announced entrances, leaving thirteen names to be announced.
Here’s Dillinger’s perfect ten debut:
Tye Dillinger is a surprise Royal Rumble Match entrant: Royal Rumble 2017
Opinion: These are the kind of names that you need thrown in for the sake of filling in some of the gaps in the match. I love the idea of having a lot of surprise entrants but having over half of the field unannounced was a bit too high. This helps out a lot and that’s the best thing that they could have done. If nothing else, having New Day in there means another Kofi Kingston save, which is always worth a look.
Which of these entrants interests you most? Who else do you want to see added to the match? Let us know in the comments below.
