Add him to the list. The Coronavirus has swept around both the United States as well as the world, infecting over three million people worldwide. That is the kind of thing that can change everyone’s way of life in a hurry and that was certainly the case with this situation. Wrestlers are no exception, and now you can add another popular name to the list of positive diagnoses.
Earlier this year, WWE released dozens of wrestlers as part of a series of budget cuts to help combat the impact of the Coronavirus. The landscape of WWE was changed quite a bit, but at the same time, the wrestling scene outside of WWE was changed even more as there were suddenly several well known talents available. However, one of them may not be debuting anytime soon due to a positive test.
During a Twitch live stream on Sunday, Miro (better known as Rusev) confirmed that he has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus. Miro’s initial test result had said that he was negative but a second test came back positive. This comes in the same week as Miro’s wife Lana has confirmed that both of her parents have been diagnosed with the virus as well. There is no word on where Miro will wrestle next.
A healthy Miro is a valuable asset. Check out what he could do elsewhere:
Opinion: That’s horrible to hear and my goodness how rough of a week has it been for Lana? Hopefully things get a lot better for everyone involved in a hurry as this is the kind of diagnosis you don’t want to see for anyone, let alone so many people at the same time. It’s terrible to hear about but maybe things can get a lot better in a hurry. As bad as they are at the moment, they could always get a lot worse.
