I guess that this makes sense. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed some light onto why WWE is theoretically booking a Triple Threat match for the Raw Women’s Championship upcoming at Wrestlemania 35.

He said that they are doing this because WWE talent gets hurt a lot more these days and when booking long term angles, there’s an added risk. They decided on going with Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey so that if one of them suffered an injury, they could have a backup plan in place.

Check out the final segment involving all three of them from Raw last week:

Editor’s Opinion:

I don’t 100% buy this, as a lot of fans have been clamoring for this match for a long time. That being said, the logic does make sense as WWE superstars put themselves on the line and take bigger risks nowadays than they did even 5 years ago.
