It’s been awhile. There are a lot of wrestlers in WWE today and that puts television time at a premium. With so many wrestlers around you can only do so much to accommodate all of them. It doesn’t help when some of them come back from an injury, especially if they are a name who could take up some time. That is the case with a former World Champion, who seems ready to return with a splash.

There have not been many World Title reigns more controversial than Jinder Mahal as the WWE Champion in 2017. Mahal went from little more than a jobber to the stars to being on top of the company and that made for quite the issue for a lot of fans. He did not exactly have the chops to be that high in the company yet, but he did everything he could and surprised a lot of people during his time with the title. Things were starting to come back together for him but a knee injury put him on the shelf. Now though, things might be getting a bit better.

Mahal recently posted a video to his Instagram account showing him lifting weights as he prepares for his return. There is no word on when Mahal will be back in the ring but whenever he does come back, he will be on the Monday Night Raw roster as he was sent to the show in the 2019 WWE Draft. Mahal’s most recent match took place at a live event on June 15 when he was defeated by Ali.

As long as he can do this again, he’ll get some attention. Check out Mahal’s workout and awesome entrance upon winning the WWE Championship:

Opinion: I know Mahal wasn’t the most popular guy in the world but it makes sense for WWE to be excited over having him return. Mahal is someone with a bit of name value who could be used to put some people over down the line. Even though I’m not a fan of the guy, I certainly do want him to be able to get back in the ring as an injury is one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler.

What do you see Mahal doing when he returns? Will he ever be World Champion again? Let us know in the comments below.
