PWInsider is reporting that Randy Orton’s tattoo artist is suing both WWE and 2K Games for utilizing her designs within their content.
Catherine Alexander has been Orton’s tattoo artist since 2003, often imprinting her designs on him. Her new lawsuit claims that WWE and 2K Games are infringing on that copyright.
WWE knew of this years ago:
This isn’t the first WWE have heard from the tattoo artist, as she had contacted them back in 2009 with similar claims. The company offered her a $450 fee for the rights to the designs, but she turned them down.
Alexander claims that by 2K Games including the ability to recreate her tattoos in WWE video games is what infringes on her copyright.
Wrestling Rumors will, of course, continue to update you with more information on this lawsuit does come to light.
You can listen to Superstars back in 2013 list the Superstars they feel had the best tattoos and if you watch, you’ll get a pre-cursor to the New Day pancakes shtick with Kofi Kingston. Who thinks Orton has the best tattoos?
What are your opinions on this lawsuit? Should she do this?
