Royal Rumble? What’s that? Bray Wyatt captured the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber a week ago, and while his new protegee Randy Orton won a WrestleMania match for that title at the Royal Rumble, he doesn’t want to go against his mentor.

Of course, SmackDown still needs a WrestleMania main event, so what’s GM Danial Bryan to do? Announce a battle royal to determine a new #1 contender, of course! It won’t exactly be a Royal Rumble, but the 10-man main event promises to be a big battle on SmackDown tonight, and WWE has announced the full list of competitors.

  1. John Cena
  2. Dean Ambrose
  3. AJ Styles
  4. The Miz
  5. Luke Harper
  6. Baron Corbin
  7. Dolph Ziggler
  8. Mojo Rawley
  9. Apollo Crews
  10. Kalisto

A few of those names don’t exactly scream “WrestleMania main event” to me, but all SmackDown’s big stars are there–aside, of course, from Bray and Randy.

Of course, this all seems to be story-building to fill the month-and-a-half that separates us from WrestleMania an April 2nd. Plans for WWE’s big show–as far as we know–still feature Orton turning on Bray and challenging for the title in singles action. But rumors have been making the rounds about a triple threat featuring Luke Harper.

Beyond that, a Falls Count Anywhere match between Nikki Bella and Natalya will also seek to settle the feud between those two.

We’ll have live coverage of everything on SmackDown tonight, so be sure to stick with us here and on Facebook!
