WWE Edits a Russian Joke From Raw

AWW BIG E! If there’s one thing New Day is known for, it’s getting in some very quick lines that leave the fans in fits of laughter. They’re funny guys who know how to bounce off of each other as well as any trio has perhaps in wrestling history. However, WWE doesn’t seem too wild on some of one particular member’s lines.

Last night on “Monday Night Raw”, Lana stole the plans for New Day’s ice cream. This led to the following exchange (paraphrased):

Kofi Kingston: “How did she get the plans???”

Big E: “Dude she’s Russian!”

Apparently WWE wasn’t thrilled with this line as they’ve edited it off the video of the exchange airing on their YouTube page. You can tell the edit is in place as you can hear the audience laughing at a joke that isn’t actually said on the video. The exchange starts at around 1:52.

This isn’t the first time Big E.’s jokes have been edited off WWE’s YouTube. A few weeks back he mocked Charlotte for winning and losing the Women’s Title at such a frequent pace, which was also edited out of later videos.

Opinion: I know WWE is going for a more family friendly audience these days but they can’t even throw in a topical reference like this one? It was a funny line and unfortunately it’s not there anymore. This feels like a case of over thinking something and that can get annoying if you remember the line but can’t hear it again.
