TLC’s taking place on Sunday, and tonight’s SmackDown will be all about putting the players in place for the upcoming pay-per-view. Most of the big matches are set, with one major exception–and that’s tonight’s big match.

The New Wyatt Family of Bray and Randy Orton will take on American Alpha for the #1 Contendership to the Tag Team Titles. The winners will face Heath Slater and Rhyno this Sunday. I don’t think there’s a more entertaining tag team in all of WWE than Jordan and Gable, but it seems all the momentum is with Orton and Bray. Expect a loss for Alpha, but a valiant one.

What else is WWE promoting for tonight’s show? Dean will return with the Ambrose Asylum featuring guest James Ellsworth, and the pair will discuss the underdog’s future now that he has a WWE contract–and another title opportunity against AJ Styles. The current champ will certainly make his presence known, since he’ll be defending that title against Ambrose this Sunday.

The company is also promoting the next chapters in the stories between Baron Corbin and Kalisto, Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss, and Intercontinental Champion the Miz and Dolph Ziggler. You can expect a few final shots in each of those feuds before they culminate at Sunday’s pay-per-view.

SmackDown tonight broadcasts from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina, live as always on the USA Network at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central. We’ll have live coverage of everything as it happens, so stick with us.
